HOW REMOTE COACHING WORKS

Concentrated instruction first. Continuing oversight afterward.

Concentrated instruction first. Continuing oversight afterward.

STEP 1

Consultation, screening and first instruction

Your first appointment takes place by Zoom or another agreed video platform and lasts up to approximately 60 minutes. Complete and review the PAR-Q+, Informed Consent and Waiver, then discuss your goals, exercise history, equipment and training space. When screening and preparation allow, begin technique instruction and an introductory workout. If additional screening or clearance is needed, training begins afterward.

STEP 2

Build confidence during the first month

Four scheduled appointments support your first 30 days: the initial appointment of up to 60 minutes, followed by three weekly video appointments of up to 30 minutes. Practice technique, learn your timer and heart-rate setup, and establish an appropriate starting routine.

STEP 3

Train independently

Follow your individualized intervals on three scheduled days each week. Share your workout records and a brief check-in about effort, interruptions and recovery.

STEP 4

Continue with coaching support

Jim reviews your submitted workouts, provides weekly progress feedback and a monthly trend summary, and adjusts your program when appropriate. Messaging and brief scheduled phone or video support help with technique, equipment questions and accountability. Ongoing coaching continues after the first month; four scheduled monthly training appointments do not.

What Jim reviews

• Scheduled versus completed workouts
• Completed work intervals and jumping time
• Rope resistance
• Heart-rate response and recovery
• Reported effort, interruptions and symptoms
• Trends under comparable workout conditions
